Sun-Star’s Best: Los Banos’ Kayson Welch wins Player of the Week poll for Week 10
Los Banos High School senior Kayson Welch had a big game in helping lead the Tigers to a 28-21 victory over Lathrop in Week 10.
Welch caught six passes for 113 yards and two touchdowns.
Welch won the Merced Sun-Star’s fans’ vote for High School Football Player of the Week for Week 10.
Welch received 62% of the votes for a total of 3,074 votes.
There were a total of 4,957 votes this week.
Stone Ridge Christian running back Hector Esquivez finished second with 1,380 votes.
