Sun-Star’s Best Prep Football: Stone Ridge Christian’s O’Neil wins Prep of the Week poll
The Stone Ridge Christian High School football team dominated Mariposa in week four of the football season.
The Knights defeated the Grizzlies 55-6. Leading the way was sophomore running back DJ O’neil, who rushed for 159 yards and four touchdowns. He also had an interception on defense.
O’neil won the Merced Sun-Star Prep of the Week Football Poll.
O’neil earned the most votes for the Merced Sun-Star’s Prep Football Player of the Week. The sophomore received 8,110 votes to lead all the nominees.
Chowchilla’s Andre Pulliam finished second in the poll after rushing for 115 yards and three touchdowns.
