Sun-Star’s Best Prep Football: Merced’s Quintell Dupree wins Prep of the Week poll
The Merced High School football team extend their winning streak to 18 consecutive wins over Golden Valley with a 38-16 win over the Cougars to win the Mayor’s Cup Trophy.
Bears quarterback Quintell Dupree threw for two touchdowns and ran for another score to lead the way.
Dupree won the Merced Sun-Star Prep of the Week Football Poll.
Dupree earned the most votes for the Merced Sun-Star’s Prep Football Player of the Week. Dupree earned 11,335 votes, which accounted for 55% of the total votes of 19,549.
Stone Ridge Christian’s Vinicius Tome finished second with 7,021 votes.
