Delhi High senior running back Antonio Gutierrez delivered all night for the Hawks during a 44-13 victory over Le Grand.
Gutierrez rushed for 220 yards and four touchdowns in the victory.
Gutierrez won the Merced Sun-Star Prep of the Week Football Poll.
Gutierrez earned the most votes for the Merced Sun-Star’s Prep Football Player of the Week. Gutierrez racked up 10,053 votes, which accounted for 53% of the 18,829 total votes.
El Capitan High quarterback Gio Mendoza finished second with 5,071 votes, which accounted for 27% of the votes.
