Football Roundup: Merced High offense dominates with 54 points in rout of Enochs

The Merced High football team scored a season-high in points in a 56-14 victory over Enochs at Cathie Hostetler Stadium on Friday night.

The Bears improved to 2-3 on the season as they prepare to open up Central California Conference play next week at Golden Valley in the Battle for the Mayor’s Cup.

Merced senior Quintell Dupree orchestrated the Bears’ offense, throwing two touchdowns and running a pair of scores into the end zone.

Jeremy Garcia hauled in two touchdown passes, and Adarius Morales-Saetern added a long touchdown run.

The Bears will take an 18-game winning streak against Golden Valley into the rivalry matchup next week.

Immanuel 43, El Capitan 7 — The Gauchos dropped to 3-2 on the season. The lone El Capitan touchdown came on a scoring strike from Gio Mendoza to receiver Diego Ultreras that started the scoring.

Immanuel scored the final 43 points of the game.

Stone Ridge Christian 13, Delhi 6 — The Knights emerged from the defensive battle with their fourth consecutive win.

Stone Ridge Christian improved to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in the Southern League.

Carson Lund delivered one of the Knights’ touchdowns on a run and sealed the victory with an interception late.

Marcus Gray connected with Kayden Downey on SRC’s other score.

Waterford 38, Le Grand 21 — Christian Gayle hauled in four touchdown passes from Bryan Martinez as the Wildcats attacked the Bulldogs through the air.

Gayle scored on catches of 5, 34, 25 and 23 yards.

Le Grand quarterback Diego Martinez threw two touchdowns, connecting on an 18-yard scoring strike to Miguel Moreno and finding Blake Lua for a 55-yard touchdown.

Jonathan Benavidez scored on a 7-yard touchdown run for Le Grand’s other score.

The Bulldogs dropped to 0-3 overall and 0-2 in the SL.

Livingston 28, Beyer 16 — The Wolves used a strong ground game to improve to 3-2 overall and 2-0 in the Western Athletic Conference.

Armani Miranda rushed for 51 yards, including touchdown runs of 2 and 37 yards. Ricardo Partida rushed for 76 yards, adding a 12-yard scoring run.

Livingston’s Adrian Hernandez finished with 127 rushing yards.

Pacheco 42, Central Valley 14 — Panthers tight end Peyton Mosley led the way with two touchdown receptions as Pacheco improved to 3-2 overall and 1-1 in the WAC.

Aidan Pikas threw two touchdowns and scored one on the ground. Brennan Watkins added a touchdown pass and a TD rush. Watkins also intercepted two passes on defense.
