Sun-Star’s Best Prep Football: Delhi’s Antonio Gutierrez wins Prep of the Week poll
Delhi High senior Antonio Gutierrez delivered two touchdowns to help propel the Hawks to a 24-21 victory over Gustine.
Gutierrez also recorded 14 tackles on defense to help the Hawks clinch a share of their first Southern League championship in school history.
Gutierrez won the Merced Sun-Star Prep of the Week Football Poll.
Gutierrez earned the most votes for the Merced Sun-Star’s Prep Football Player of the Week. The Hawks senior racked up 17,010 votes, which accounted for 86% of the total 19,743 votes.
