Atwater soccer wins Gregori tourney
Another week, another tournament title for the Atwater boys soccer team.
The Falcons (8-0-1) went 4-0 on their way to winning the championship at the Gregori Tournament.
Atwater opened the tournament with a 4-1 win over Lathrop and a 2-0 win over Riverbank on Friday. Six different Falcons scored goals in the two wins.
On Saturday morning, Christian Olguin, Eduardo Cebrero, Zeb Stevens and Gerardo Delgadillo all scored goals in a 4-1 win over Grace Davis. Cebrero and Stevens both added assists.
The Falcons defeated Sierra 2-0 in the championship game behind goals by Olguin and Christian Fuentes. Brandon Alvarez assisted on both goals.
Atwater won its group title at last week’s Pitman tournament.
