Here are the Merced Allstate Athletes of the Week for Sept. 23-Sept. 29, 2013.

Josh Heller

School: Atwater

Sport: Water Polo

Class: Senior

Position: Hole-Set

The Week: Heller was a scoring machine in the Falcons' two wins last week. The senior poured in seven goals in a 16-11 win over Turlock. He followed that up with six goals in a 16-7 win over Golden Valley. Heller also tallied four assists and seven steals on the week.

Vanesa Serna

School: Merced

Sport: Volleyball

Class: Senior

Position: Outside Hitter

The Week: Serna delivered big in the Bears' thrilling five-game win over Atwater with 12 kills and 25 digs. Serna also added four aces in Merced's 3-0 win over Turlock later in the week.
