Roundup: Buhach Colony shuts out Atwater in Bloss Bowl victory
Adrian Lopez connected with Jalon Jackson for three touchdown passes as Buhach Colony rolled to a 30-0 win over Atwater in Bloss Bowl XV on Friday night at Dave Honey Stadium.
The win improves Buhach Colony’s record to 2-2 in the Central California Conference. Atwater dropped to 1-3 overall and 1-2 in the CCC.
“We played a complete game,” said Thunder coach Jerry Dietz. “We played well for all four quarters. We had some opportunities to make some plays and we got after them.”
Thunder sophomore Jaxson Percoats started the scoring with a touchdown run in the first quarter.
Then Jackson and Lopez took over, connecting three times on scoring strikes to help the Thunder pull away from the Falcons.
“The opportunity came for (Jackson),” Dietz said. “We saw some plays he could make and we put the ball in the air. He took advantage of his opportunities to touch the ball.”
