Football Roundup: Stone Ridge Christian rolls in Division VII playoffs, plus other results

Stone Ridge Christian took care of business coming off a bye.

Marcus Gray completed 9 of 12 for 191 yards and two touchdowns to help the second-seeded Knights advance in Division VII with a 35-15 victory over No. 7 Denair in the CIF Sac-Joaquin playoffs on Friday night.

Stone Ridge Christian opened the game with a 21-0 lead.

Denair responded with a touchdown and a two-point conversion, but the Knights answered and put the game away for good to advance to face No. 6 Rio Vista.

DJ O’Neil had 26 rushing yards but had two touchdowns, and also contributed in a big way with four receptions for 102 yards and a touchdown.

Carson Lund and Mark Andres led the team in tackles.

Ethan Beene and Mickhael Bustamante each had a sack. Stone Ridge will face No. 6 Rio Vista.
