Man killed after being hit by a big rig on Highway 99 in Atwater, police say
A 29-year-old Atwater man was killed on southbound Highway 99 near the Atwater Boulevard exit Tuesday morning, the Merced County Sheriff's Office confirmed.
The man was hit by a big rig at about 10:48 a.m., Sgt. Kevin Blake said. Investigators believe the incident was a possible suicide.
