Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run crash in Merced, police say
A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash during the weekend, according to Merced police.
The pedestrian was in the area of R Street and Buena Vista Drive about 2 a.m. Sunday when he was struck by a car, Lt. Jay Struble said. His age was not immediately available.
The driver left the scene before police arrived. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the intersection, Struble said.
