Craft fair

The American Legion Riders and Sons of the American Legion of Merced will be hosting the second annual Crafts and Antiques Fair from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at 939 W. Bunco bash

The Livingston-Delhi Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary 8327 will hold a Bunco bash May 16 at the Livingston Veterans Hall, 1605 Seventh St. Lunch is at 11 a.m. and Bunco starts at noon. Tickets are $20 and available from any member. The ticket price covers the luncheon and participation in Bunco games. All proceeds go toward VFW programs. Plant sale

The 10th annual Spring-Summer Plant Sale is Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Atwater High School Agriculture Department. For more information, go to www.AtwaterFFA.org.

Building materials sale

Livingston-Delhi Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8327 will have a building materials sale May 14-16 at Veterans Memorial Hall, 9799 Stephens St., Delhi. All new merchandise priced 25 cents on the dollar. Materials for sale include electrical, plumbing, lawn and garden, flooring, windows, bathtubs and doors. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 14-15, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 16. All sales are final with no warranties. Contractors welcome. Cash or checks only, no credit cards. Teacher training

The UC Merced Writing Project’s Teacher Leadership Institute, an intensive learning experience on effective teaching practices, will run from June 15 to July 9. Those in the class meet on the UC campus from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Monday through Thursday. The summer fellowship includes a $500 stipend. All teachers are invited to apply, but space is limited. Merced High Class of 1980

Merced High School 1980 Class Reunion – 35th Anniversary will be held outdoors under the stars at Vista Ranch and Cellars, Merced, on Sept. 19 from 6 to 11 p.m. A casual event, the price is $12 per person and includes use of the venue, music and all amenities of Vista Ranch and Cellars.
