Mike Vrabel, Dianna Russini Photos Not Taken by PI: Report

New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel and NFL reporter Dianna Russini found themselves at the center of a highly-publicized controversy earlier this month after photos of the pair were released to the public.

A few weeks ago, Page Six published photos of Vrabel and Russini holding hands and embracing at a luxury resort in Arizona. Both Vrabel and Russini are married to other people and have two children with their respective partners.

Following the release of these photos, rumors regarding the source began to swirl. Many speculated that either Vrabel's wife, Jen, or Russini's husband, Kevin Goldschmidt, hired a private investigator to catch them in the act.

According to a report from TMZ this past Friday, that is not the case. A couple staying at the same resort noticed Vrabel and Russini and snapped the photos.

On Thursday - the first day of the 2026 NFL Draft - several new photos of Vrabel and Russini dating back to as early as 2020 reached the public.

Russini stepped down from her position as lead NFL reporter for The Athletic, and Vrabel started counseling on Saturday.

"As I said the other day, I promised my family, this organization and this team that I was going to give them the best version of me that I can possibly give them. In order to do so, I have committed to seeking counseling, starting this weekend," Vrabel said in a statement on Wednesday night. "This is something that I have given a lot of thought to and is something I would advise a player to do if I was counseling them.

"I have always wanted to lead by example, and I believe this is what I have to do to be the best husband, father and coach that I possibly can be. This is not an easy thing for me to admit, but it is one that I know will make me a better person. I appreciate the support that everyone has given me and promise a stronger resolve as a result."
