Golden Retriever's 20-Second Glow-up Is Taking the Internet by Storm
Just like with kids, dogs grow so fast you can nearly blink and miss it! One day, they're small puppies getting into everything, and then all of a sudden, they're adult dogs who need you a little less. It's kind of heartbreaking how quickly it all goes by, so it's important to take in the moments and document your memories together as much as possible.
Emma just turned 4 years old, and to celebrate the Golden Retriever's milestone, Dad created a 20-second clip showing her ages and stages. This one might make you hug your pup a little tighter today!

Emma has grown leaps and bounds from 3 months to 4 years old, and she's still the best girl around (aside from her dog sister, Ellie, of course). I imagine she's not a light lady, so Dad's upper body strength is coming in clutch here. It warms my heart to know that no matter how big a Golden gets to be, they still want to be held like a tiny baby.

As sweet as Emma is with her parents, she and Ellie have a special bond, too. The two even know how to hug on cue, and it makes for the BEST spring photo op for such close-knit sisters!

How Quickly Do Golden Retrievers Grow?
As you can see, in the span of just 20 quick seconds, Golden Retrievers grow insanely fast! Joking, of course, but most of them do rapidly reach growth milestones in their first 10 to 12 months of life. Though they won't reach full maturity in growth and otherwise until they're around 2 years old, these adorable companions are gaining an impressive 10 pounds every 3 months or so, starting at 6 months old.
By the 8-week mark, Golden pups can weigh around 15 pounds, more than doubling that to 40 to 50 pounds at 6 months. So it really is a fast process for these angels. One day, they're cute little puppies begging for treats, and the next, they're fully grown (still adorable) dogs... begging for treats!
