It's official: There's nothing cuter than dog best friends. My two Chihuahua mixes prove this with their unbreakable bond. This video shows us another amazing friendship between a Golden Retriever and a German Shepherd. You will not be able to stop watching.

The on-screen text tells us about their meet-cute, "These two met because I'm a dog walker, and they're BEST friends. They trotted by me like this today, and it was the cutest thing ever." At first, the clip shows us the pair walking in step from behind, but then we get a closer look and see what they're really up to. No spoilers, you just have to see it for yourself.

Commenters gushed over the duo! "They're so adorable," @staccato exclaimed. Many commented on the closeness of their friendship, like @stephaniec1214, who claimed they're "2 peas in a pod." @Lily added, "There's attached at the hip… then there's these two…"

Numerous posters demanded that the dog walker ensure the friendship continues outside of their regularly scheduled exercise time. "Please tell me you connected their families, and they get playdates when you're not around…? Please," @JusturDaddee begged. We hope to see a follow-up video of that hang.

How Dogs Decide They Like Each Other

When you meet a new person, you might shake their hand, introduce yourself, or ask them about their interests. Dogs basically do the same thing. When two pooches spot each other for the first time, they usually sniff each other, the hello of the dog kingdom. Assuming they're friendly, most pups will give off respectful vibes by not staring their companion down. A play bow means you're in business and the two have become fast friends.

Once the bond has been established, expect to see the buds play together, groom each other, and give nose nudges. Meghan Herron, the senior director of behavior, research, and education at Gigi's, a shelter in Ohio, explains dog friendship to PetMD, "It'll be clear your pup has made a pal when they prefer a 'specific, familiar dog' over others-and that preference is mutual."

Not all dogs get along. There are a few signs to watch out for when you put a new set of pets together. Dogs for Goodtells us when to intervene: "If either dog looks away, sets the ears back, licks their lips, and/or shows some avoidance, then this may indicate stress and discomfort in the situation." That means to remove your beastie from the situation carefully and try again with a different canine.

Luckily, in this case, both pups knew right away that they had discovered their bestie.
