Goldendoodle's Birthday Surprise Ends With the Sweetest 'Thank You'
Every year that we're blessed to have the privilege of a dog's companionship is worth celebrating. It becomes even more important the older they get because we can't know how long they'll stay.
Sampson, the Goldendoodle, just turned 10, and the morning of his birthday, he was thrilled to find the surprise Dad left before work. But it's his precious way of saying "thank you" that has us in tears.

If you asked me how many times I've watched the sweet clip shared by @sampson_the_dood, I'd have to plead the fifth! Dad, who left for work early, lining up all those toys for the birthday boy to find, is top-tier internet material! He couldn't wait to sniff them all out to figure out which he loved the most.
There could never be enough videos like this that show how grateful dogs are for everything, and Sampson shows why. That adorable howl at the end was his way of saying "thank you," as if he doesn't realize he's the light of Mom and Dad's life (and many of yours, too)!
As one of the web's most ball-obsessed pups, Sampson is no stranger to having fun. But now that the senior Goldendoodle is in the double digits, he's begun to explore new activities.

Though this good boy is obsessed with every ball in sight, Dad had another surprise: a herding ball! Honestly, I've never "herd" of one of these-and my Corgi would love it-but watch and see how Sampson handles this one.

Easy Ways To Celebrate Your Birthday Dog
Sampson's surprise is so sweet because it's all about his personality, which is a fun-loving, playful, and joyous cutie-pie! To make your pup feel just as special, it could be as easy as:
- Baking a dog-friendly "cake"
- Throwing a small party with their dog friends
- Making them the star of the day
- Taking them for a pup cup
- Giving them extra time and attention
- Taking them to the pet store to pick out a toy
- Setting out a bunch of toys as Sampson's dad did
It doesn't have to be complicated to show your pup some birthday love. They're just happy to be with us and ask for nothing in return-and that's exactly why they deserve the world.
