2 Dachshunds Wake up Looking Like They're Ready To File Complaints

Dachshunds are already one of the most emotionally overqualified breeds on earth. They are tiny, dramatic, deeply judgmental, and somehow always seem like they're in the middle of a personal grievance. They don't simply wake up. They rise into consciousness like somebody has wronged them specifically, and they would like a brief but hostile meeting about it.

This video is a perfect example.

We start with one Dachshund asleep in bed, minding his business, fully off the clock. Then, from off camera, his sibling barks and wakes him up. The first dog opens his eyes, looks straight at the camera, and gives a stare so loaded with irritation it could knock over a lamp. It's not confusion. It's not grogginess. It's full, immediate, workplace-level annoyance.

Then the camera pans to the sibling who did the barking.

And somehow?

Also mad.

Neither of these little guys looks like they've enjoyed a single second of the situation, even though one of them caused it. The side-eye from both of them is spectacular. One is clearly offended at being awakened. The other seems offended that the morning exists at all. The caption says, "Idk who's more p*ssed off ," and yes, that's exactly the right question. There are no innocent parties here.

One comment says, "He looked at us like an episode of 'The Office,'" which is painfully accurate. That deadpan little stare straight into the lens really does have major Jim Halpert energy, if Jim were lower to the ground and significantly more prone to grudges.

It is short, relatable, and full of very human-looking annoyance in very non-human bodies. Two tiny dogs. One rude awakening. Maximum resentment.

Honestly, if these two had access to HR, things would already be escalating.

Why Dachshunds Have Such Dramatic Expressions

Part of why Dachshunds go so viral is that they are incredibly expressive dogs. The AKC describes them as clever, lively, and courageous, and anyone who has spent 5 minutes with one knows they also have a gift for projecting complicated emotional narratives onto their little faces.

That big expression energy often comes from a mix of strong personality, close attention to their humans, and a face shape that somehow turns every mood into a full statement. In other words, they're not being extra. They are simply communicating with remarkable clarity.
