No matter the species, there's nothing a mom wouldn't do for her children. However, in the case of this American black bear, the tension was higher than usual. Captured by a passerby in the Lake Tahoe area in California, onlookers looked on as one stressed mama bear had to find a way to get her cub to climb over a road divider.

To make matters even more stressful, the bear also had another cub by her side, making it almost impossible for her to jump back over to help the stranded cub. With one cub on each side of the divider, the mama bear cried out from stress while trying to encourage her little cub to climb over.

In a spontaneous learning opportunity, this mama bear did her best to teach her cub how to cross a road divider. With onlookers stressing out, the cub tried its best to climb over but was still too small to succeed.

Adding to the stress was a second cub that was on the other side of the divider. In a quick attempt to push the cub over, the mama bear hopped over to help the young cub jump over. Despite only being away for a few seconds, the screeches from the cub left alone were loud and obvious.

As one could expect, the tension was starting to get high with the mama bear desperately trying to guide her cub back to safety. Thankfully, the mama bear eventually led her cub to higher ground, where the young one was able to hop to the safety of their mother.

While many were watching anxiously, onlookers did the right thing and stayed out of the situation, which could've posed a danger.

"OMG, I was there so I know this is not AI. I saw the car filming this!! Thank goodness the driver didn't get out of the car, or they will be mauled to death by the super protective bear mom!! I also saw someone got out their car trying to help the cub, but they were yelled by other observers to get back to the safety of their car!!" added one commenter who happened to witness the event.

Another user added, "Whew !!!!! That was stressful!!! Hearing the baby cry out was heartbreaking!!! So happy he made it !!"

Although no one was injured, it's important to note that bears are notoriously protective of their cubs. In any similar situation, it's best to let the cubs and bear maneuver the situation to the best of their ability or notify animal services.
