Golden Retriever Replaces Their Family With a Pet Store Worker, and It's Too Funny
No matter what we do for our pets, it seems like we are always at risk of being replaced. In my fur nephew's case, I've seen him debate whether or not to find a new parent based on whether someone has a piece of chicken or a pup cup for him. Despite a dog's loyalty, it looks like it doesn't take much to convince them otherwise.
For Maxi, a cream golden retriever, her last straw was her human telling her it was time to go home from the pet store. Discontent with the treatment, Maxi decided it was time to trade her family for the helpful worker instead. While we aren't sure that Maxi's switch-up will last, we definitely know she might not be the most loyal golden retriever we've seen.

Golden retrievers might have the reputation of being one of the most loyal dog breeds around, but Maxi is really challenging that notion. After visiting the pet store, Maxi was informed by her dog dad that it was time to go home. Clearly, this didn't sit well with the golden retriever, who wanted nothing more than to be able to stay inside the pet store all day.
While many dogs would reluctantly go home with their humans, Maxi found another solution. Instead, the sassy golden decided she would try her hand at being "adopted" by the store's employee. Despite being guided out by her dog dad, Maxi quickly ran over to the worker, whom her human mentions, "she met 3 minutes ago."
Clearly, Maxi knows no loyalty.

In the comments, users were having a blast with the whole situation, with some congratulating the employee on their brand-new puppy.
"Congratulations to the pet store worker and their new dog," joked one user.
Another viewer added, "She thinks the owner is a rich guy who's so generous. I'm trading him in for a new one," which is a valid observation we can't help but think is the reason behind Maxi's blatant disloyalty.
"Adopt that worker and take him home for her emotional support human," suggested another person in the comments section.
Although we don't think Maxi got her way in the end, at least she knows she has options for the future.
