Ore-Ida Debuts 2 New Tater Tot Shapes for the First Time in Nearly 20 Years
Ore-Ida, the makers of your favorite tater-tots, are giving them a whole new personality this spring.
For more than 70 years, the brand has been a staple of family dinners, with its latest products reimagining a classic in a playful and nostalgic way.
The brand is launching the first new Tater Tots shape in nearly two decades-Dino Tater Tots andStar Tater Tots.
Naturally, the dinosaur ones appeal to fans of all ages who are looking for a prehistoric adventure, while helping parents and kids enjoy mealtime.
Meanwhile, the star ones are perfectly timed to celebrate America's 250th birthday. Launching as a partner of America 250, the press release shared with Parade notes that "Star Tater Tots will debut with limited-edition America 250 packaging to mark the nation's 250th anniversary celebrations - from summer grilling season to everyday dinners that deserve a little extra sparkle. "
Ore-Idea expressed that the "playful shapes" offer the "same crispy-outside, fluffy-inside" that people already love, while "blending nostalgia with what's trending right now."
While nuggets always come in fun shapes, the same cannot be said for potato products, with the release noting that less than "1 percent" offer "shapes beyond
the classics."
"Ore-Ida invented Tater Tots - and now, we're shaping what comes next," said Claire Lukaszewski, Senior Brand Manager of Ore-Ida, said, noting, "With Dino and Star Tater Tots, we're building on more than 70 years of potato expertise to bring new energy to the category - delivering the same great taste people expect in formats that feel fun, relevant, and made for today."
Shoppers will be able to find the newest shapes in major retailers nationwide. They will be available in 28-oz bags, along with a larger option as a 5 lb club size.
The best part is they are permanent additions to the lineup, so you never have to worry about running out!
