It’s not a quick endeavor.
The Sacramento Bee’s service journalism team thought it would be fun for our reporter to get in on the bracelet hype as she travels from Sacramento to Santa Clara on the Amtrak for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour. We made our own to share with you this weekend.
When we’re swapping: Friday, July 28.
Where we’ll be: The Capitol Corridor train from Sacramento to Levi’s Stadium.
What we’re bringing: Taylor Swift and Sacramento Bee-themed friendship bracelets to swap with our fellow Sacramentan Swifites.

Here are our tips for crafting your bracelets:
- Kids-section beads are cheaper (we shopped at Michaels) — and more fun.
- Set aside at least 2 hours. There were five of us and we made 22 in that time.
- Don’t be ashamed if your first bracelet falls apart. You’ll learn how to tie it by the end of the craft.
- Have fun with it. Make the bracelets unique to you.
