In 2026, Memorial Day falls on Monday, May 25, marking the unofficial start of summer across California, according to The Old Farmer’s Almanac.
As temperatures begin to rise, the country’s “largest floating inflatable water park” is gearing up for another season of splashing and sliding.
Splash-n-Dash Aqua Park is reopening for its ninth season near Merced, with new attractions designed to help visitors cool off through the California heat.

What is Splash-n-Dash Aqua Park?
Splash-n-Dash Aqua Park is a 200,000-square-foot floating water park packed with oversized slides, climbing walls, jump platforms and obstacle-course style attractions.
The water park is “designed to ensure every guest has an amazing experience and is the perfect attraction for those seeking over-the-top adventures, mind-blowing acrobatic thrills and safe, yet fun, athletic challenges,” according to its website.
Where is the inflatable water park located?
Splash-n-Dash Aqua Park is located on Lake McSwain in Snelling.
It is roughly 25 miles away from Merced at 9090 Lake McClure Road, Snelling.
When does inflatable water park open for the 2026 season?
According to the park’s website, Splash-n-Dash Aqua Park will reopen for the 2026 season during Memorial Day weekend.
Opening day is Saturday, May 23.
What’s new for the 2026 season?
Splash-n-Dash Aqua Park is introducing several new attractions for the 2026 season, according to its website.
The Big Chivo water slide “just leveled up,” with a thrilling 20-foot drop followed by 30 feet of fast, smooth ride.
Visitors can also rent e-bikes to explore the scenic areas surrounding Lake McSwain.
The park also offers a new water tag experience, which is now included with admission.
How much are tickets?
Guests planning to use the inflatable attractions at Splash-n-Dash Aqua Park will need to purchase ticketa, according to the park’s website.
“Tickets are available at the park, however we operate on a first-come, first-served basis, so booking ahead is recommended,” park officials said.
Visitors can reserve tickets online before arriving.
Guests can also save $5 per ticket by visiting on weekdays and an additional $10 per ticket by booking online in advance.
Spectators and beachgoers who are not using the water park do not need Splash-n-Dash tickets.
However, all visitors must pay a $10 entrance fee per vehicle to access Lake McSwain Marina and Recreation Area, where the park is located.
Here are ticket options for weekends:
- All-Day Splash: $49.99
- One-Hour Splash: $39.99
- Group All-Day Splash (10 or more guests): $46.99 per person
- Group One-Hour Splash (10 or more guests): $36.99 per person
For children under age 7 or under 45 inches tall, the Lil’ Splash area offers a 5,500-square-foot obstacle course for $27 per child on the weekend.
Parents do not have to pay for individual tickets to supervise children, according to the park website.
Visitors can also rent cabanas, seating, paddle boards, kayaks and more.
