Highway 41 closed in eastern Madera County due to rock slides. Road expected to reopen today

CALTRANS

Rock slides Wednesday in Madera County have fully closed a portion of Highway 41, Caltrans announced.

All lanes between Highway 145 and Road 200 were closed Wednesday night and Caltrans expected the road to reopen sometime Thursday morning.

The rock slides near Highway 41 had initially reduced the highway to one-way traffic earlier on Wednesday near Rocky Cut, or just north of the intersection of Highway 41 and and Highway 145.

Caltrans reported that crews are on the scene working to get the road cleared.
