Man found dead after mobile home fire near Livingston identified by coroner
The Merced County Sheriff Coroner’s Office has identified a man found dead after a mobile home fire Sunday near Livingston as 55-year-old Billy Johnson, according to Deputy Daryl Allen.
According to Cal Fire officials, firefighters responded just before 2 a.m. to the fire in the 4400 block of Lincoln Boulevard, south of the City of Livingston.
Firefighters arrived on scene and found smoke coming from the front of the residence.
Upon making entry into the home, firefighters located Johnson unresponsive inside a bedroom. He was removed from the residence and Emergency Medical Services personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
Fire officials said the cause of fire is under investigation.
