The Merced County Sheriff Coroner’s Office has identified a woman killed in a Saturday solo-vehicle rollover collision along Highway 99 near Delhi as Carrie Tearney, 35, of Atwater, according to Deputy Daryl Allen.

California Highway Patrol officers responded to the crash just after 8 p.m. along northbound Highway 99 just south of Shanks Road.

Authorities said Tearney was driving a 2003 Nissan Altima north in the No. 2 lane of Highway 99 when the vehicle left the roadway and went off the right shoulder of the road, overturning down an embankment. Tearney was pronounced dead at the scene.
