A new coffee shop just opened in Merced.

Ember Coffee & Eatery welcomed its first customers on Friday, April 10, bringing a fresh take on a familiar location.

“We’re excited to bring a new coffee experience to Merced,” the coffee shop announced in an Instagram post on April 1. “You won’t want to miss this.”

Here’s what to know about the new coffee shop’s location and menu:

Where is the new coffee shop in Merced?

Ember Coffee & Eatery is at 3562 G St. in the Yosemite North shopping center.

The coffee shop took over the former space of ASIP Coffee Roasters, which recently closed that location to focus on its downtown shop, The Sensory Lab at 847 West Main St.

ASIP Coffee Roasters said running two locations stretched its time, energy and resources, prompting the company’s decision to only operate one shop.
