New businesses are coming to Merced.
The Hub, a development at 2220 East Yosemite Ave. near UC Merced, has announced four new businesses that are expected to open in the coming weeks.
The development combines off-campus student housing with restaurants, shops and other retail space.
From a new coffee shop to additional dining options, here’s what is coming to The Hub in Merced:
When will the new coffee shop open in Merced?
Bae Tea Coffee is set to join Merced’s growing coffee scene.
The Yemeni-inspired coffee shop first announced plans to open at The Hub more than a year ago.
An exact opening date has not been announced, The Hub officials said, but the coffee shop is preparing to open its doors in August.
The menu will feature traditional Yemeni coffees and teas alongside smoothies, milkshakes and specialty drinks.
Customers can also expect Middle Eastern-inspired desserts and pastries, including Turkish delight and honeycomb bread stuffed with cream cheese and drizzled with honey.
Is Merced getting a new ice cream shop?
Licky’s is also coming to The Hub.
The ice cream shop is scheduled to open on Aug. 15, according to a post from The Hub.
An official menu has not yet been shared.
What is Buzz Deli coming to Merced?
Buzz Deli is another business set to open at The Hub, with an opening planned for August.
According to Hub officials, the deli will offer grab-and-go food, snacks, drinks and convenience items for students, residents and visitors.
“Whether you’re looking for a quick snack, refreshing drink, or grab-and-go essentials, Buzz Deli will be the perfect spot to fuel your day right from home,” The Hub said in an Instagram post.
Where will new pho restaurant open in Merced?
The Pho is also expected to open at The Hub this August, expanding the development’s growing lineup of dining options, according to officials.
The restaurant will serve traditional Vietnamese pho and other quick meal options.
