A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held Friday afternoon for the opening of the new Sutter Health clinic in Los Banos.
The Sutter Los Banos Rural Health Clinic East will feature primary and specialty care that includes behavioral health services, according to a news release.
The clinic will be located at 801 West L St. in Los Banos, a short walk away from the existing Rural Health Clinic at 1253 West I St.
The 3,200-square-foot facility will feature four renovated exam rooms and one treatment room. It will have 10 new primary and specialty clinicians and serve up to 1,000 patients per month, the news release said.
The new facility broke ground in May .
At the groundbreaking ceremony, Kristie Marion, CEO and chief nurse executive of Sutter’s Memorial Hospital Los Banos, said: “This new clinic will be about more than bricks and mortar. It’s about helping people get the care they need without long drives or long wait times.”
Marion is from Los Banos.
“This community has my heart,” she said at the groundbreaking ceremony. “I grew up here, and when I took this job, my intention was to bring to Los Banos all the healthcare services we need as much as possible. It is my life’s goal to make healthcare in Los Banos the best it can be before I leave this community.”
