Small earthquake reported in Merced County

The U.S. Geological Survey confirmed a magnitude-3.4 earthquake hit in Merced County on Thursday morning about 21 miles south-southwest of Los Banos.

The earthquake struck about 3:41 a.m.

The USGS didn’t report any damage caused by the temblor, which was not considered a “significant earthquake.”
