Los Banos man shot to death outside apartments. Police searching for 2 suspects
A 24-year-old man was shot and killed outside a Los Banos apartment complex, police said.
Officers responded a little before 1 a.m. Monday to reports of shots fired near Gilbert Gonzalez Jr. Drive west of Ward Road, according to a Los Banos Police Department news release. The officers found the man wiith at least two gunshot wounds to his upper body. The officers performed CPR until paramedics arrived and the victim was declared dead at the scene.
Police said the two suspects are both males in their late teens or early 20s who approached the victim as he walked through the parking lot toward his apartment building and shot him following a brief conversation. The shooters were last seen fleeing toward the northeast side of the complex.
Police said one of the suspects is described as having a thin build with short hair and last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans. The other suspect is thin with dark complexion and was last seen wearing a black shirt and jeans.
