The Merced County Sheriff Coroner’s Office has identified a woman who was killed Sunday in a shooting at a party near Livingston as 19-year-old Liliana Zaragoza, according to the Merced County Sheriff’s Office.

Spokesperson Michelle Oliver said a juvenile was also injured in the shooting and is currently recovering.

Deputies responded early Sunday to a reported shooting at a party in the area of Washington Boulevard and Sunset Drive. When deputies arrived on the scene, they located Zaragoza and the juvenile victim. The juvenile was flown to an area hospital; Zaragoza was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities said it is unclear how many people were at the residence at the time of the shooting. A motive for the shooting is unknown at this time, and no suspects have been identified or arrested, according to Oliver. The shooting remains under investigation.

According to GoFundMe Spokesperson Alex White, a GoFundMe donation page has been created to help with funeral expenses.
