UC Merced women’s basketball player named first-team all-conference
UC Merced women’s basketball player Nicole Lukito is no stranger to being named to all-conference teams.
This year, though, she stepped up her game in the Bobcats’ first season playing in the Central California Athletic Association.
The 6-foot junior forward out of Fremont earned her third consecutive all-conference honor after this past season, being named an All-CCAA First Team selection on Tuesday.
Lukito’s teammate Sarina Nagra, a 5-foot-7 junior guard, was given honorable mention.
Lukito was named All-Cal Pac First Team after her first two seasons at UC Merced.
She led the CCAA with 15 double-doubles, averaging 13.7 points per game and a league-leading 11.0 rebounds per game. She also finished first in the CCAA with an 84% free-throw percentage. She was named CCAA Player of the Week on Nov. 25 after leading the Bobcats to two wins in Hawaii.
Nagra finished fourth in the CCAA with 15.1 points per game, marking the highest total by any Bobcat guard since 2019-20. The Danville native ranked second in the CCAA with 62 three-pointers.
UC Merced went 8-21 overall and 5-17 in the CCAA.
