Merced county deputies searching canal after report of dead body
A dive team, helicopter and multiple deputies were searching a canal near Gustine on Thursday, according to the Merced County Sheriff's Office.
The office received a report about 12:30 p.m. of a body in a canal near Whitworth and Fentem roads, deputies said. The sheriff's office could not immediately confirm there was a body in the canal.
