Business owner arrested for alleged illegal gambling venture in Merced, police say
Officers arrested a Merced business owner Tuesday for allegedly operating an illegal gambling venture at a business.
Authorities were tipped after multiple complaints came in regarding illegal gambling activities at the Cell Kings, located in the 1500 block of E. Yosemite Parkway. Detectives obtained and executed a search warrant and found a room that contained multiple gambling machines.
Authorities said cash from the machines and additional funds found in the business were seized.
Arrested was 43-year-old Arshvir Singh who is facing multiple charges related to illegal gambling. He was booked into the Merced County Jail.
